Bavarian Government funds Junior Research Groups within its Strategy BAYERN DIGITAL
As one core element in its strategy BAYERN DIGITAL the Bavarian Government has founded the Centre Digitisation.Bavaria (ZD.B) in 2015 in order to strengthen digital competencies in Bavaria. One central initiative in this context is the establishment of up to ten ZD.B junior research groups on topics of digitisation.
The programme will provide excellent young scholars with the possibility to begin a long-term academic career. The grant features for each research group include a volume of up to 250.000,- Euro per year for a duration of up to 5 years, the possibility to supervise PhD students and the possibility to represent their research topics / discipline in teaching.
Postdoctoral researchers from Germany and from abroad are entitled to apply for the grant as long as they have completed an excellent PhD and have excellent achievements in research and teaching, based on an outstanding publication record, awards and honours as well as third party funding.
If you are interested in applying for such a junior research group in the field of digital medicine / digital health please contact Prof. Dr. H.U. Prokosch (Chair of Medical Informatics, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, ulli.prokosch@uk-erlangen.de). More details can be found here.
